On March 19, 2019, Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Report) officially announced the Top 10 reputable companies in Construction - Building Materials sector in 2019.
This is an independent research result of Vietnam Report, built based on scientific and objective principles. The prestige of companies is assessed based on research on the impact of financial factors, business image on communication and evaluation of industry experts, specifically including: (1) Capacity finance is shown in the most recent financial statements (total assets, total revenue, profit, capital use efficiency ...); (2) Media prestige is evaluated by Media Coding method - encoding company articles on influential media channels; (3) Survey of industry experts; Surveying customers about the level of satisfaction with products / services of construction units, installation of electrical and mechanical systems, supply of construction materials ... Methods of analytical communication analysis to evaluate the reputation of companies based on Agenda Setting on the influence and impact of mass media on the community and society by two professors Maxwell McCombs and Donald L Shaw officially announced in 1968, realized and applied by Vietnam Report and partners. Accordingly, Vietnam Report used Branch Coding method (assessing the company's image on the media) to conduct a prestigious analysis of enterprises operating in Construction - Building Materials industry in Vietnam.
Vietnam Report conducts coding articles written about businesses posted on influential newspaper pages in Vietnam from January 2018 to January 2019. A total of 553 articles, corresponding to 1,088 coding units, are assessed at the story-level of 24 specific operational aspects of companies from products and business results, market ... to the activities and reputation of the company's leaders. The information is selected for coding based on 2 basic principles: The name of the company that appears immediately on the title of the article, or the news about the company mentioned at least 5 lines in the article. This is called the threshold of perception - when the information is evaluated as valuable analysis. The information is assessed at the following levels: 0: Neutral; 1: Positive; 2: Fairly positive; 3: Not clear; 4: Quite negative; 5: Negative. However, statistically, the research team gave 3 rankings for the final evaluation, including: Neutral (including 0 and 3), positive (1 and 2), and negative (4 and 5).
